Representative Samuels moved and asked unanimous consent that                                                                   
CSSB 216(TRA) be considered engrossed, advanced to third reading,                                                               
and placed on final passage.  There being no objection, it was so                                                               
ordered.                                                                                                                        
                                                                                                                                
CSSB 216(TRA) was read the third time.                                                                                          
                                                                                                                                
The following letter of intent for CSSB 216(TRA) was offered by                                                                 
Representatives Stoltze and Gruenberg:                                                                                          
                                                                                                                                
"It is the intent of the House of Representatives that Bridge No. 503,                                                          
which crosses the Gerstle River on the Alaska Highway, and was                                                                  
designated as the Black Veterans Recognition Bridge by Chapter 42,                                                              
SLA 93, be also concurrently recognized as a historical monument

honoring the contributions of the 93, 94, 95, 97 Battalions and                                                                 
    th                                                                                                                          
388 Regiment, commonly referred to as the "Black Engineer Corps."                                                               
Because of the significant contributions to the construction of the                                                             
1,522 mile long Alaska Highway during World War II by these                                                                     
soldiers, it is our intent that the Black Veterans Recognition Bridge be                                                        
recognized as a significant point on the Purple Heart Trail on the                                                              
Alaska Highway."                                                                                                                
                                                                                                                                
Representative Stoltze moved and asked unanimous consent that the                                                               
House adopt the letter of intent.  There being no objection, it was so
